Children's Kenya Project

We are excited to support the work of Dr. Amelie von Saint André, a critical care doctor at Seattle Children's Hospital who, with equally stellar ICU and emergency room staff, has saved the lives of Puget Sound area babies, over and over. Dr. von Saint André is now poised to do for babies across the globe what she has been doing here, and is spearheading a program led by Seattle Children's Hospital to save the lives of thousands of babies dying needlessly every day in sub-Saharan Africa.

This important Global Health project will strive to help improve infant death rates by empowering mothers to play an integral role in saving the lives of their critically ill children. We see the Children's Hospital Kenya Project as the very best example of Mother House work in the world.
