Letter of Inquiry

A letter of inquiry helps us learn about your organization and programs so we can assess potential fit with our Grant Priorities. Upon review of your letter, The Mother House Fund will provide a formal grant application via e-mail to selected organizations.

Please complete the required information and narrative section. The narrative section should not exceed two pages. Please include the following information:

  • Email Address


  • Briefly describe your organization's mission and programs, including major activities and population served.
  • Please describe the project or program for which you are requesting funding. The overview should include the following points:
    • What is the need you are trying to address?
    • What is your proposed solution?
    • Who is your target audience? Please include information about age, or demographic characteristics.
    • What are the intended outcomes?
  • Describe how your program or project fits with The Mother House Fund’s grant priorities and mission.
  • What is the total budget for your program or project? How much funding is already secured?

Letters of inquiry should be submitted through our Contact form.

Requests are responded to within one month. Selected organizations will be invited to submit a formal grant application. Decisions are typically made within three months of receiving an application.
